Virginia "Jenny" Corbett

Virginia Louise “Jenny” Corbett, 73, of Norris City, Illinois passed away at 11:07 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Jenny was born at home in Dyersburg, Tennessee on November 5, 1948, the daughter of John and Callie (Jackson) Anderson. On February 24, 1964, she married Theodore “Ted” Corbett Sr. in Dyersburg, Tennessee and together they have shared over fifty-seven years of marriage. Jenny was of the Pentecostal Faith. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and sisters. Jenny always gave of her time to help others.

In addition to her husband, Jenny is survived by three children, Theodore “Teddy” Frederick Corbett Jr., Gwendolyn Paulette (Alan) Wurst and Shawn Lee (Becky) Corbett; one step-son, Rick Flagg; three sisters, Annie Gwendolyn (Junior) Scobey, Paulette (Donald) McGee and Sarah Louise Anderson; twelve grandchildren,  Vanessa (Ricky) Cena, Renee Corbett-Mercer, Todd (Halee) Corbett, Brandi (Edward) Corbett, Alan (Haley) Wurst, Brandon Wurst, Nathan (Raven) Wurst, Shawn (Hayley) Corbett, Jenn’na Wurst, Luke Flagg, Ronnie Seals and Kimberly Seals; sixteen great-grandchildren, Aydan, Kymbrei, Kylie, Sonja, Jenna, Kynlee, Lylah, Declan, Gabriella, Kalli, Trevor, Frederick, Ola, Noah, Tymbree and Zackary. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Justin Lewis Wurst.

Funeral Services for Virginia Louise “Jenny” Corbett will be held at noon on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Ditney Ridge Baptist Church in Norris City, Illinois, with interment following in Ditney Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the church. Contributions can be made in Jenny’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and will be accepted Campbell Funeral Home, who has been entrusted with the arrangements.
