Ruby Leona Burlison, 84, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois. She was born on January 1, 1938, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of John J. and Mamie K. (Stevens) Burlison. Ruby worked as a secretary for many years.

Ruby is survived by her sister, Edith Marie Flowers of Eldorado, IL; nieces and nephews, Gary R. Flowers of Carmi, IL, Barry Flowers of Goreville, IL, Cathy Hyatt of Springerton, IL, Rebecca Toms of Springerton, IL, and Rose A. Bowles of Mt. Vernon, IN. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

A private memorial service for Ruby Burlison, will be held at a later date. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
