Ralph Bryant

Ralph  Leroy Bryant, 80, of Belleville, IL passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Benton, IL on August 26, 1940 the son of Ralph and Velma Imogene (Smith) Bryant.  In November of 1960 Ralph married Iris Ann Shirley.  Throughout his life, Ralph was a great husband, father and friend to so many. For most of his career he worked as a truck driver for Hartwig Transportation.  In his spare time he loved working on cars and going fishing.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Iris; two children, Sue (Mario) Vazquez of Lovettsville, VA and Ralph Bryant, Jr. of Belleville; two brothers, Terry (Kay) Bryant of Wadesville, IN and Jerry Bryant of Middleton, TN.; two grandchildren, Lauren (Quentin) Biggs of Festus MO and Vincente Vazquez of Lovettsville, VA; and three great-grandchildren, Branton Biggs, Truett Biggs and Posey Biggs.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Lynn Bryant.

Graveside funeral services for Ralph L. Bryant, 80, of Belleville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 in IOOF Cemetery in Norris City.  Friends and family will gather from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests tributes be made  in Ralph's memory in the form of plants, keepsakes or a donation to the  ASPCA and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
