Mona Sophia Spaetti, 70, passed away on August 4, 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Mona was born September 18, 1950 to Marvin and Loretta Robinson, and she was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, IL. Mona enjoyed genealogy and made family tree books that are treasured by many family members and friends. She loved reading, traveling, and making doll furniture for her granddaughters. Mona lived an adventurous and courageous life full of compassion and love for those around her. Her love of life and generous spirit will live on as her loved ones honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Mona is survived by her husband, Donald Spaetti; sons Joseph Allen and Will (Rachel) Allen; daughters Joni (Todd) Holtzclaw and Sarah (Jeff) Grisham; step-son Jason (Amanda) Spaetti; step-daughter Jody (Chad) Garrett; brothers Vincent (Nancy) Robinson, Melvin (Judy) Robinson, Mark (Jan) Robinson, Aaron (Doris) Robinson, Blaze Robinson, and Rex (Nancy) Robinson; sisters Jane (Hiram) Davidson and Elaine (Fred) Inkenbrandt; grandchildren Denny (Deanna) Holtzclaw, Macy Allen, Jordan Allen, Madilyn Garrett, Zoey Allen, Anna Spaetti, and Lily Allen; great-grandchildren Landon, Madyson, Brooklyn, and Gannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Chad Robinson.
Due to the current Covid health crisis, a private family service and burial was held in Saint Polycarp Catholic Cemetery in Carmi, IL. An open visitation to celebration and honor the life of Mona Spaetti will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, IL. Contributions can be made in Mona's memory to The Isaiah 1:17 Project, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
