Marie Gangard

Marie E. Gangard, 67, of Carmi, passed away at 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. She was born in Eldorado, IL on February 27, 1952 the daughter of Charles Arthur and Delores June (Thomas) Inboden. Marie married Wayne Gangard. She worked for the post office as a rural mail carrier running the Enfield/Springerton route. Marie grew up attending and was a member of Old Sharon Church. She enjoyed music, spending time with her family and traveling.

Marie is survived by her husband, Wayne; three daughters, Lauri (Gene) Dillsworth, of Norris City, Sara (Val) Uselton, of Indianapolis, IN and Paula Schlensker, of St. Charles, MO; two step-daughters, Norma (Chuck) Hathaway, of Branson, MO and Deborah (James) Pearce, of Poseyville, IN; two sisters, Cherie Singer, of Henderson, KY and Linda Sue Inboden, of Enfield; three grandchildren, Aaron Paul McVay and Jack and Max Uselton; two step-grandchildren, Timothy and Anthony Cruz; two great-grandchildren, Carly Rae and Aiden Paul McVay; along with numerous nieces and nephews and one little grasshopper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and June Inboden, a brother, Charles V. "Butch" Inboden and two sisters, Charlotte Inboden and Gloria Taylor.

Funeral services for Marie E. Gangard, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2019 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in Old Sharon Cemetery in Norris City. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
