Dannie Aud

Dannie J. Aud, 69, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, September, 21, 2021.  He was born in Eldorado, Illinois, on January 12, 1952, the son of Thurman Ellsworth and Alma Louise (Hillyard) Aud.  Dannie graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1969.  He married Nancy M. Williams on August 6, 1972.  Dannie worked at Wags Market, sold oil field chemicals, and later worked at TJ Maxx Distribution Center.  He enjoyed playing basketball, playing golf with his brothers and best friend, Robert Barnett, watching his kids and grandkids play sports, and was an avid Carmi Bulldog fan.  Dannie's greatest joy was spending time with his family and taking trips to Gatlinburg.

Dannie is survived by his wife Nancy Aud of Carmi, IL; his sons, Dusty (Khara) Aud of Louisville, KY. and Denton (Alex) Aud of Carmi, IL; grandchildren, Davyn (Jenna Brinkley), Draxtyn, Kataryna, Drennan, Abraham, Judah, Hosanna and Shepherd Aud and Owen Clark; siblings Darrell (Linda) Aud of Carmi, IL. and Linda (Ronnie) Branstetter of Tompkinsville, KY.; his mother-in-law, Betty Wagner of Carmi, IL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sue (Phil) Thompson of Vincennes, IN., John (Debbie) Williams of Carmi, IL., Jim (Andrea) Williams of Carmi, IL., and Raynita Aud of Carmi, IL.; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild, Draven Aud; a brother, David Aud; a sister-in-law, Sandy Slay; and his father-in-law, Mendell Wagner.

Funeral services for Dannie Aud will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at West Union Cemetery in Brownsville, Illinois.  Family and friends may visit  from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Contributions can be made in Dannie's memory to We Love White County and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
