Charles L. "Heavy" Wooten Jr, 61, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. He was born on February 3, 1961, the son of Charles L. and Janice (Renshaw) Wooten. Heavy worked for Norris City Motors. He was an avid knife and sword collector and enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Heavy is survived by his children, Danny (Kristen Durham) Wooten of Norris City, IL, Dustin Nicole (David) Edwards of Norris City, IL, Nicholas (Samantha) Voelker of Norris City, IL, and Scott (Sabrina) Franklin of Galatia, IL; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Julie Ann (Larry) Ellison of Norris City, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Chester Wooten.

Services for Charles L. "Heavy" Wooten will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Heavy's memory to Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City to assist the family with funeral expenses. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
