My wife, Sharon, and I are proud to carry on the legacy from my parents, Donald L. and Joyce Campbell, of caring for our local friends, families, and neighbors in their time of sorrow. We are also proud to have the third generation follow in our family’s footsteps, our nephew Jeremy Jordan and his wife, Sasha.

Since 1954, our Campbell Funeral Home staff continues to provide funeral planning with compassion and honesty … earning the trust and loyalty of our clients. For this, we are deeply grateful.

Funerals have changed since the early 1950s when services lasted three days, including two full days of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., and the funeral ceremony on the third day. My mother, Joyce, always wore a hat during visitations! Today, funerals may take place anywhere or not at all (and almost no one wears a hat). However, one thing will never change at Campbell Funeral Home; we honor every life with dignity and respect.

From the most elaborate service to the most humble graveside ceremony, our staff serves a higher purpose: to be sensitive to the needs of those we serve regardless of social or financial standing, religion or ethnicity.

My parents lived the Golden Rule and I learned at an early age the importance of serving others. Even though my profession can be challenging and heartbreaking, I am proud to be a Licensed Funeral Director. The Campbell family is determined to continue to operate as a locally owned funeral home in Carmi and Norris City, Illinois.

We are available 24 hours a day by phone at 618.382.5222 (Carmi) and 618.378.3811 (Norris City). Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns about arrangements or pre-arrangements at Campbell Funeral Home.

We are always here for you.
